It’s My What???

My birthday tomorrow? Why did nobody tell me that it’s my birthday tomorrow? Hmm, my mom person kind of forgot because she had it written on the calender for July 28th, not June 28th. I really need to get a better secretary and keeper of my social calender.
My birthday list is not complete, my invitations have not been designed and sent, my cake hasn’t been ordered…jeez!
I’m glad that they finally remembered it was actually tomorrow so I didn’t miss it all together, but I can’t say that I’m not miffed a little.
Photobucket
Humph, I didn’t even get my birthday haircut. Come back by tomorrow to see what happens on my 5th birthday, if no one forgets again.
On a birthday related note, my dad person did want to thank you all for the birthday wishes you left for him.

Camera Critters!

Camera Critters
Hi Friends! Missing Oskar here! We’ve had more computer troubles. Who’s in charge of these things? Aren’t they supposed to make our lives easier?
Anyway, this is a party weekend here at Casa De Oskar cause it’s my dad person’s birthday!!! He’s 41 which seems old to me, but my mom person is almost 43 so we’re not allowed to say that 41 is old. Am I the only one who doesn’t “get” people?
Here’s me and my dad person.
Photobucket
Of course Chloe saw the camera come out & decided she should be included too, hmph!
Photobucket
For his birthday my dad person got 3 flowering trees. My oldest boy John works at a garden center so he arranged very nice trees and even planted 2 of them. The 2 he planted were in the front yard, so I was not allowed to go out & supervise! Who in the house knows more about digging holes than me, ya know? Anyway you can see one of the trees & John & his girlfriend Leighanne.
Photobucket
After my dad person got home yesterday & saw the 2 new trees that John planted he went into the back yard & saw the third tree that hasn’t been planted yet. Look how huge it is, it’s way taller than our motorhome!
Photobucket
Look how huge around the bucket is. My dad person has to dig a hole that deep & twice as big around!!
Photobucket
He started on digging the hole last night. Finally I can supervise! Wait up!
Photobucket
Okay, my dad person wants the grass clumps in one pile and the plain dirt in another pile. I’m not really feelin’ that method. You can see that I’ve spread out grass clumps over a larger area. It’s really more effective this way.
Photobucket
Some of the grass clumps are tricky and and must be wrestled into submission.

Whew. Wait…what are you doing??
Photobucket
After all of that work I did, they filled it in! I guess my dad person hit something called roots & has to dig a new hole. I tried to tell them that once you get a hole dug, you don’t fill it in, you just move onto the next hole, but no one listens to little old Oskar *sigh*.

If some of these pictures are showing up gigantic, we apologize. We re-sized them all, but some are showing up HUGE on our monitor.

Oh, The Shame!

Well yesterday my Monnie (grandma person) got me something. Notice how there is no “oh boy, pressies” tone to this post.

I’m sharing my shame so that hopefully you can keep this from happening to you.

Photobucket

Yes, my monnie, who I thought loved me, got me a Snuggie.

Photobucket

It is spring time here, almost summer. It is not cold, nor do I need to keep my paws free as these dogs below me seem to need. You see unlike these dogs I don’t spend a lot of time playing backgammon & I’m not allowed to be in charge of the remote.

Photobucket

If you see a Snuggie heading your way & your not feeling under the weather or terribly cold, take my advice & leave!

Photobucket

Ugh, maybe there’s a hippity (frog) outside somewhere I can lick!

Photobucket

It’s Hippity Season!

Camera Critters

Hmm, wonder what’s in that bucket?

Photobucket

OMD! Hippities!! 2 hippities!!

Photobucket

Hmm, I wonder if the Hippities can come out of the bottom of the bucket?

Photobucket

I guess not. Here’s a video. (My mom person says watch my nubbin’ tale in this video)

All I want is to play with the hippities! I’m not allowed to cause after I put them in my mouth I froth & throw up. They say it like that’s a bad thing!

Prayers Needed Blog Friends!

Photobucket

I have some worrying news to report. Our cat friend Kareltje’s family is having an emergency. The husband in the family has had a terrible heart attack. Please stop by and say prayers & good wishes for the husband of Anya & father to Marjolein & Suzanne. They need all of our good wishes right now.

Photobucket

In a little bit better news, my lovely Sasha is back! However her mom person has been having a hard time. Please stop by Sasha’s blog and help her get her magical bubble back!

Photobucket

Pee-S for more bad news.

Lulu and Maggie had to say goodbye to their brother Sammy, who crossed the rainbow bridge. Please go over & show them your love too.

Well this bad day really needs to end! Our friends Santa, Christmas & Minnie’s mom person & Auntie have lost their mother. I don’t like today.

We know the power of prayers and love can move mountains, so let’s go bloggy friends!

Finally, Some Of My Camping Adventures!

Camera Critters

My mom person is back from the hospital, again! She thanks you for all of your prayers and well wishes.

As I mentioned we went camping a few weeks ago, so here’s some of my fine photojournalism from that trip.

I checked out the navigation seat to make sure we were ready to go.

Photobucket

I checked to make sure our motor home monster, Ned was ready to go. Every motor home has a monster doesn’t it?

Photobucket

First of all my mom person & I have to sit in our chair & survey things. We spent some time pondering whether this thing on the ground was a scuzzy grape, or just a rock.

Photobucket

We pondered for a couple of hours before we decided to move and check it out. Hmm, just a rock. Good thing I didn’t eat it. (Hear that Dexter, no rock eating!)

Photobucket

Then we saw what we thought was Brutus’ Big Earl pull up!

Photobucket

I suited up to go explore it by putting on my exploring scarf from JD & Max.

Photobucket

Really dapper aren’t I?

Photobucket

It even has my name in heiroglyphics, in case there are any heiroglyphic reading people here!

Photobucket

Well we didn’t find Brutus or his people, so I guess it wasn’t Big Earl. Next I settled in with my dad person for a rest after our hike.

Photobucket

Look what I spotted…a rare sighting of the wild Kong. My animal instincts took over and this wild Kong didn’t stand a chance!

Photobucket

Just as I laid down for another rest you really won’t believe what I saw.

Photobucket

A wild forest cat!

Photobucket

I camoflauged myself and set off to keep this wild hunter off of my lot.

Photobucket

One bark from me & he ran for the hills!

Photobucket

Evening was upon us, and it was time for my rest. I thought I’d better sit with my mom person so she could protect me I could protect her from any other wild varmints.

Photobucket

Even though we made a campfire it got cold. You can see my woozley little head at the end of my mom persons blanket.

Photobucket

When the night was done & I had sniffed my final Pee-mail it was time to crash. I didn’t know where my people planned on sleeping, but I for one was set!

Photobucket

Go see what all the other Camera Critters are up to!
