The Name Game!

Photobucket
My lovely friend Asta, posted about the Fourth Of July Name Game that Frankie Furter is hosting, so I though I’d play along.
My dad person is of 100 percent German heritage, and when they were trying to pick a dog my mom person wanted a girl doggie named Pansy. They looked at French bulldogs, pugs & lots of others before they settled on a miniature schnauzer. They found an awesome breeder close by and made a deposit for me.
While driving to pick me out they were trying to come up with names. They had already been told that all of the girls puppies had been spoken for, so they chose me. I was the first one born, & at birth had a tiny white beard.
Since miniature schnauzers are German like my dad person, they decided a German name would be fitting. They decided on Oskar (the German spelling) Wilhelm. After spending time with me, they knew the name suited me.
Me with my real mom. She was an all white MS who was bred with an all black MS. She had 8 all black babies. It was quite funny watching them all feed from this snow white mommy!

Here’s me at one week. You can see the tiny dot of my white beard if you look closely. I’ve outgrown it now.

Me at 4 weeks. My breeders were really good about sending picture updates to my people.

And here’s me after I got my first big-boy schnauzer cut. I’m busy keeping this elephant from terrorizing the younger puppies!

So there’s a brief history of me. I guess I should mention my technical name. My AKC papers read Mimi’s Oskar Diamond Magic. My mom person, goes by Mimi, even though her name is Pam. Oskar I’ve already explained, Diamond is because she won front row center tickets from a radio contest to see Neil Diamond, but sold them to pay for me & Magic because that’s the name of the radio station that she won the tickets from.
I hope you’ve enjoyed your look back at baby me and finding out all about my early days.
