We Did It!

We are so excited over here at Casa de Oskar about our newest venture.  We’d like to introduce Pet Blogs United!

Photobucket

http://www.petblogsunited.com/ is a place for all pet bloggers to meet up, make friends, and especially support each other through comments.

PBU went live less than 24 hours ago, so we know we will have some growing pains, but we would love for all of our furriends to be right there with us.

At Pet Blogs United you can be our Featured Blogger of the week, our Photo Of The Day can show off your beauty or handsomness, your super-best action sequences can be on our Your Movies page.

We also have an area to feature Blogging Events like G.A.B.E. & the Auctions for Shelby.

You can contact my mom person, Pam & me, Oskar, at any time at our PBU e-mail about any of the things mentioned above or any of ideas you might have.

We truly want PBU to be a site for pet bloggers and blogs about animals to connect with a wider audience and support each other by commenting on other members sites.

When you follow Pet Blogs United through Google Friend Connect, we will add you to our Blogroll, and that’s all there is to joining.  No fees or costs, ever!

We have made the most amazing friends here at The Daily Oskar & I’m not going anywhere, we just want to be able to showcase all of you in one spot.  We would be honored if you would hop over to PBU, look around, leave a comment, & pop us an e-mail with how we can feature you and your blog!

As for me, I’m gonna sit right here & watch for all my friends to come by!

I’m Super Fast!

I was in the yard playing with my boy Jack & I was flying around so fast I was a blur.

I was so fast my mom person couldn’t even get me in most of the photo’s.

I did consent to one picture for my fans.

Then Jack asked if I wanted to go in and get a cookie & this was all my mom person saw!

My nubbin’ ended backside!

To all of you wonderful people who inquired about my mom person’s tummy after my “rooty-tooty” post the other, she is doing really well.  She’s actually feeling better than she has in about a year, so thank you for all of your pawerful prayers & well wishes!

I Wanna Be Like Mango!

I Wanna Be Like Mango Contest!

My Relentlessly Huge friend Mango is having I Wanna Be Like Mango Contest.  Mango says:

“Do you wish you were more like the Mango? Well, who doesn’t? Now is your chance to let your inner Mango-ness shine through and possibly win a cool prize in the process. Plus, for every entry, I, Mango, will donate one dollar of my kibbles money to the Tufts School of Doggie Medicines where they train the nice people who take care of me when I have whatchyercall veterinary emergencies.”

Well one talent that Mango demonstrated was landscaping.  Well, I have been an excellent landscape supervisor since I was a pup!

It’s obvious that I am very much like Mango, I hope I will win.  But if I don’t I hope you do!  Head over, play along & help spread the word!

Baby Oskar

Camera Critters Photos of all Fids

Since my mom person has been busy doing lame important things, she has not been photographing me as she should.

I thought Sharing some pictures of Baby Oskar, might be fun.  Who doesn’t love puppy pictures, right?

My birth mommy, Shelly, was an all white schnauzer who had 8 solid black puppies.  She was a very good mom.  Don’t we look funny with our white mommy?  (My daddy was all black, but I never met him.)

Here I am at 1 week old.  If you look very closely you can see I was born with a tiny white beard.  It went away very quickly.

Here I am at two weeks with my eyes open.  I didn’t understan the significance that the flashy box would have in my life, so I was a little timid.

This was our first real meal.  We wanted as much as possible, so we had to climb right in & get our fair share.

I’m the biggest one sitting right on the plate.  I was the first one born, so I was responsible to help take care of all of the other pups.  I was very responsible from an early age.  Here I am letting one of the older dogs, Madison know that we would like to learn schnauzer things from her.  She was very kind with us.

I’ll leave you of one more of me checking out grass for the first time.  Everything seemed very big to me!

Find out what all the other Camera Critters are up to & check out the Pet Blog Hop, too, because they have a way for pet bloggers to get a free bag of Pedigree dog food donated to dogs in need, just for writing a post about it!

Also, check out the latest blog hop Photo’s of all Fids.

My Beautiful New Food Bowl

My mom person was very surprised yesterday when a big box arrived at our door.  It was from an address we didn’t recognize.  Quite puzzling…

We were shocked to see this note telling us this was from the wonder JD, Max & their female human, Clare.  We are running out of adjectives to describe how generous and wonderful they are.

Well I needed to know what is in there, they always send such great stuff!

This is what we found once we got all the paper stuff out…and then there was this!

This amazing new food dish for me.  The detail is so pretty.  Flowers, a dragonfly & a lovely fairy.  I was thrilled with my new dish.

It’s a perfect size, umm, you can fill it now.

What?  Oh yeah, there’s something else in the box.  I’ll check that out too, then you can fill my bowl.  A most large and beautiful candle!

Oh, it smells wonderful!

Hmm, yes, the candle does fit in my new food bowl nicely. Will you PLEASE fill my food bowl with some food?  A rare steak would do nicely with this calibur of bowl.

This is not right!

I don’t know what she’s thinking!

* Oskar’s mom person here.  I need to mention that this beautiful candle set was donated to Shelby’s Auction, by the Slimmer Pugs.  Thank you so much.  And to Clare, again, thank you for such a beautiful gift.  It’s exactly what I wanted from the auction.

Mango Salsa: Just Say NO!

My relentlessly  huge friend Mango is always in fear of his huge self when he sees things like mango smoothies.

So imagine my horror when my dad person brought this home from the store.  I immediately went to Mango’s blog to make sure he was o.k. and he’s fine.

I inspected this salsa product and saw no relentlessly huge bits in it, but I hope no other pups named Mango or Peach were harmed in the making of this salsa.

I only sampled a few bites refused to eat it based on principle.  Us fur pals have to stick together!

Fall Is Here

It’s cool and breezy here.  My mom person says about 60 degrees.  Time to burrow in until we get an Indian Summer.

Bundling up is really the only way to go.  I hid my stupid Snuggie, who wouldn’t want to snuggle in a handmade quilt instead!

Then my mom person told me that my boy Jack was starting school again tomorrow.

Now I’m sad.

Sad, but still really handsome, right?

Oskar & Mr. Kohlrabi

Camera Critters

Yes I said Mr. Kohlrabi.  He’s a weird cabbage type vegetable that my boy John thought I would like to play with.  Here’s what Mr. Kohlrabi looks like.

It was raining, but I braved the rain to play catch with Mr. Kohlrabi.  This video is short if you’re people are in a hurry & the one below this is longer.

My mom person says to say that if you like Invader Zim, look at Leighanne’s shoes ar around the 30 second mark in the second video.  She says it’s Grr.  Hopefully she’ll start making sense again soon since I don’t know what the heck she’s rambling on about.

Here are some pictures of me, John & Mr. Kohlrabi.

I’m going to play while I can and not worry about the the rain.  Hear that mom?  You should do the same!

Hey I’ve been getting really weird comments about Chloe!  Is there something I should know?

Check out what the other Camera Critters are doing & stop by the Saturday Pet Blogger Hop, too!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday & Anipal Photo Hunt

Chloe here.  I’m sick of that dumb dog & his silly blog.  It’s about time the real beauty in the house got the spotlight!

The chair is located in my boy Jack’s room.  (Oskar says the boys are his, NO, I was here first!)

My boys call this the shag-a-delic chair.  I don’t know what that means.

Ooops, I hear that dumb yip-hound, better run!

Don’t forget to go see what the other Anipals are up to!
