The Sun Was Shining

There was a big red ball that I seem to remember as being the sun shining in the sky today.  My mom got up early to watch a fancy wedding, drove far away from me & visited a friend without me for hours & then came home & took a nap.

When she woke up I thought she would finally have time for playtime or a walk outside, when she reminded me of her broken ankle.  Oh well, at least it felt good when I sat ouside on patrol.

I hope that all of our bloggy friends are safe and sound and having sunshine instead of scary storms!

My Mom Person Fell Down…

…again.  She falls a lot.  She is sarcastically called Grace.  It happened yesterday on Easter when she missed the bottom step, hit her head on a wall and then had a pan that was hanging on the wall actually land on her head.  As a blogger she was sorry that there was not picture of this.

She has a broken fibula and what the Dr. called a 3 month sprain, but she is very happy because she doesn’t have to wear a cast, just this little boot thing.

Of course this means limited walkies for me, but I’m glad she’s OK.  I would have liked to see her with the pan on her head though!

Are your people accident prone?

My "Adventure"

Do your people ever get you all excited for a “big adventure” just to have it backfire on you?  Mine tried that trick yesterday.  First there was this.  We won a CSN gift code from Road Dog Tails and she chose this.

I thought, great, a basket to carry all of my toys somewhere.  WRONG!

My pitiful, save-me face did nothing for me.  Apparantly travelling on my people’s lap when we drive is not safe & I must have a car seat now.  I was not consulted.

I decided to take it as a positive thing that we were going somewhere fun, like the park or the pet store.  Guess who was wrong again?

The V-E-T!  Tricked, I was!  You can see that I was already panting with nervousness. These visits never end well!

You guys know what happens next.  The tiny room with the table!

Thankfully my mom person’s flashy box ran out of batteries at this point, so you don’t have to have flashbacks by watching them give me shots & draw my blood.  There was one tiny victory when the vet said that since I was so nervous, he wouldn’t take my temperature.  I will remember to be extra nervous in the future, to avoid the thermometer of humiliation.

I rode home in my carseat and didn’t fuss as much, but I was wiped out for the rest of the day.  I hope your Friday was better than mine!

The Oskar Egg

This poor egg would not get to be an Easter egg.

Instead it went into here,

scrambled around like this,

and put into here!

I stopped what I was doing,

so I could try my Oskar egg.

I prefer Oskar eggs to Easter eggs anyday!
