Walkies!

I took my mom person for a walk today. I thought she needed to get out of the house.

Are you coming, or what?

I have to say she got pretty annoying pretty quickly. She kept wanting to walk! I tried to explain to her that everything out here needs to be sniffed!

This is a view of one end of the meadow behind my yard.

The other end is waaaaaay down there.

I’m trying to explain to her that everything from one end to the other needs to be sniffed, peed on, rolled in or eaten. She’s just not trained to walk very well yet.

Here’s my back yard.

Inside of the fence is where I usually patrol from.

Finally I took her home. She was worn out.

Once we got inside, I let her give me a cookie since I was nice enough to take her out.

Hopefully I can get her leash trained soon!

  1. Oskar,
I found the best way to train my Mommy was with hugs and kisses. Humans tend to like those kinds of things, go figure.

    P.S. You are very cute

  2. Hi Oskar

I completely agree with you there, humans can be very difficult to leash train.

They don't understand that everything must be sniffed, tasted or widdled on, and often all three.

Especially when you're coming back from your walk – it's not a delaying tactic to re-sniff, re-taste and re-widdle, it's our job.

A puppy's life can be so challenging at times, even the thought of it exhausts me. I might go have a nap.

  3. Have ya tried a lasso? Wow, now that's a big back yard.

Thanx again Oskar for the pawsome award, we luv it!

  4. Ah Oskar, I'd love it if you could take Frodo for a walk too, and teach him some of this walking stuff. The guy needs exercise!

    Much love!

  5. Aww…I have that with my humans too, they kept pulling on their leashes! They just don't know "heel" when we wanted them to and that annoyed us.

You are so lucky to have such a huge backyard and meadow to roam, we are so jealous!

  7. Perhaps if mom participated in the wonderful sniffing and peeing activities she would appreciate them better. Just a thought.

  8. Not only your posts make me LOL Oskar, some comments your friends make are hilarious too. I can't get a weird picture out of my head now, thanks to Mango. Your mom person with her pants around her ankles hopping from tree to streetlight doing a little weewee. Both hilariously funny and worryingly frownforming.

    hehehehehehe

  9. Thanks for visiting us! We are sure it won't take too long to train your human to walk. Despite popular belief, humans CAN be taught!

  10. Hi Oskar – oh, humans are notoriously hard to train aren't they? We find the ones who seem to think they know best are the worst …eeish! Well done on your efforts – your mom type person probably picked up more than you realise. Nice of you to let her give you a biscuit for taking her out – we get that too!
