No Way!

So this week my mom person got the motor home all packed & ready to go!  You know what this means?  A camping trip.  Here’s me on our last camping trip.

I was all ready to go, but noticed my stuff was in a bag by the front door, not in the motor home!

Then they drove away.  In the motor home.  WITHOUT ME!  I almost fainted I barked so hard trying to tell them that they forgot me.  How could they?

But then my human grandparents, Monnie & Bucka showed up to get me, remember them?

Well guess what?  The front door was locked & they couldn’t come in!  THEN THEY DROVE AWAY!  Friends, there were no witnesses, but I’m pretty sure I fell asleep fainted.

When I came to, Monnie was back to get me.  I got to spend all weekend playing with her and their doggie Buster.  Buster just had eye surgery so he had to wear a cone.  I was extra good not to do anything wrong so that I didn’t get the cone of shame.

There are no picutres of my trip to the Monnie & Bucka Bed & Barkfast, but I got oatmeal every day for breakfast & when Buster had to take medicine I got a piece of ham, every time!

The food service was far superior to what I usually get, so I had my Monnie tell my mom person the details, so she could get it just right.  So far no go, but I’ll be waiting for my oatmeal in the morning.

  11. You know what this means? You have to punish the humans when they get back for forgetting you. Make sure they don't do that again! :p

  14. Goodness, Oskar, you certainly are a brave pup to go through all that and come out unscathed!

Your humans are just lucky that you are resilient and could be revived with oatmeal and ham. We hope they realise that you need continued applications of this cure for some time – that's the only thing that will help prevent long-term psychological scarring and abandonment issues!

  15. WHEW!! We're so glad they came back for you – had us worried there for a minute or two. We're wondering if they would watch us if our pawrents go away – they sound like super nice folks.

  16. WHEW! Thank dogness that your Monnie and Bucka came to SAVE you! I'm surprised you even wanted to go back with your mom after she deserted you like that and Monnie and Bucka had to go to extreme measures to rescue you. Now, as dogs, we're pretty good at the forgiveness thing. But I hope you let 'em know they're on notice.

PeeS. Next time you might want to share your foodables with Monnie and Bucka. They look kinda skinny.

  17. Sorry you didn't get to go camping, what's up with that? BUT – glad you had good sitters that gave you ham and oatmeal. That would almost be worth staying home for šŸ™‚
