My Mom Person Fell Down…

…again.  She falls a lot.  She is sarcastically called Grace.  It happened yesterday on Easter when she missed the bottom step, hit her head on a wall and then had a pan that was hanging on the wall actually land on her head.  As a blogger she was sorry that there was not picture of this.

She has a broken fibula and what the Dr. called a 3 month sprain, but she is very happy because she doesn’t have to wear a cast, just this little boot thing.

Of course this means limited walkies for me, but I’m glad she’s OK.  I would have liked to see her with the pan on her head though!

Are your people accident prone?

  1. Your Mom must be related to our Daddy! He falls over his own gunboats.

We'll send healing purrs your Mom's way…and is it OK to say it's just too bad there's no pictures? Because that's the truth.

  2. Oh yeah, My Mommy is "Grace" as well. She has broken her arm while falling off a Razor scooter, messed up her foot tendons by dropping an industrial size wrapping paper roll on her foot, and sliced open a finger requiring 7 stitches while opening a box! Glad you Mom doesn't have to wear a cast and bathe with a baggie over her foot all while trying to balance in the shower!

  3. Oh that is not good – I hope your Mom rests that foot …it is going to take a long time to heal. My Mom has to be very careful not to fall as she has brittle bones.

  4. Oh boy… hope she's feeling much better now. Do send us her love and thoughts… and may she get well soon.

My hooman is pretty accident prone too.. she has two left feet 😀

    woofs n licks,
    Dommy

  6. Oh my goodness, tell your Mom to Elevate, Ice and Rest!!! Oskar, you will need to help her feel better with lot's of smooches!
We are sending healing purrrrs her way!

  7. Hi Y'all,

We're sending crossed paws and human prayers for a quick healing for your Mom Person.

So far the only time I've seen my Human on the ground is when I've knocked her down…and I haven't done that in awhile. Once I realized how big I am, I got really careful when I do my runs and jumps of glee.

    Y'all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

  8. So sorry to hear of your Mom's accident!!! My Grandmother's name was Grace, and she fell down more than any person I've ever known!!! She even fell under the car once!!!! really!!! stay well little friend!!!

  9. Oh dear, poor Mom. Yes, our Mom is prone to falling too but somehow or other we all usually have something to do with it. Hope the Mom heals quickly. Ouchie to the head.

  10. Oh dear….that sounds like a nasty fall. We're sending healing purrrss to your mom. Now, Oskar, you cuddle her till she gets well, OK? Promise? Doggies honour? purrr….meow!

  11. There is something sexy about that black leather boot LOL At least it is sexier than a plaster cast. And lighter I imagine. She should probably wear a pan on her head, just to be on the safe side. And elbow and knee pads.
Hope she'll be walking again soon. Give her a kiss from me please, Oskar 🙂

  12. Oh my! While I agree that a video of that would have probably been funny to see, I feel sorry for your mom and her broken bone and sore head! I had to wear one of those braces for six weeks once…they're a pain! Get well soon!

  13. Oh no!! Take it easy and get better soon!! I have always been accident prone until I fractured my foot from just walking through the snow and ice on it and found out my bones are really bad. Now I have to be super careful doing anything. Until then, I would fall over things, run lawnmowers into stumps and fall backwards….and the list goes on. Be careful and get better!!! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

  14. Oh dear, what a worry, I expect you were there with lots of doggy licks to help her though Oskar. Yes our human is useless, we were blackberry picking last summer and she tripped on some brambles and fell completely flat on her face – luckily she didn't crush the berries! Hope your Mom is feeling okay, Dex & Louis x

  15. Wow, Oskar! I'm sure sorry your mom person got hurt falling down! That isn't fun at all! Good thing her bloggy fingers and thumbs are okay so you can keep your blogging for you!! 🙂 Tell your momma to heal quickly — with nicer weather you'll be missing the walks…

  16. OMD>>> OMD.. your mom broke her Paw?? Was it a front or back.. OH never mind. SHE is a two legger.. I should have asked if it was her right or left paw. Sooooo sorry. I hope it doesn't hurt her.

  17. OMD! I am so glad your Ma is okay. Be sure to give her some *Cairn cuddles* from me to help her get all better (so you can go for big walkies again soon)!!

  18. Oh My Goodnes Gracious!!! We are sending tons of healing thoughts your way! Geeze…how is her head feeling too??? That's a lot of 'ouch ees' for one little momma! Make sure you stay near her side and give her lots of comfort kisses!

  19. hey Oskar,

We are so sorry to hear of your mom's tumble! And forget pictures, where is the video?! BOL! Seriously, though, it sounds like it was a scary fall and we are very glad her injuries are not severe. We send tons of healing thoughts to your mom and hope she feels better very soon!

Luckily my human does not seem accident prone. Is it a balance issue with your mom? Because my human does some exercises (yoga) that helps with balance. Also, my human said sometimes inner ear issues can cause humans to be off balance. Whatever the cause we hope your mom is healed and healthy very soon! :->

  20. Hi Oskar! Oh we are so sorry your mom fell like that – we are sending her lots of get well purrs and prayers. We have to admit our mom can be accident prone too, though it sounds like not nearly as much as your mom is! We hope she is feeling better soon! And boy, that is great she doesn't need a cast!

  21. Them hoomans can do some of da silliest things sometimes…another reason they should haves four legs likes us. I hope her feels betters soon and tell hers I is very sorry when I laughed reading dis…hehehe…oooops.

  25. Hi Pam and Oskar, we were so sorry to hear of your fall and now your owchie foot. Mum managed to burn her thumb on Easter Sunday at Grandpaws' – while taking out something hot and heavy from the oven. She could hear it "sizzle". OWWW! I think there was even a bad word said! However, she is all better now and wishes to pass on her best "get better" wishes to your foot. Oh, I do too. I was sorry to hear that Oskar didn't get any bunny cookies 🙁 Boy they were good!!!

  26. Oh, please tell your momma to be extra careful! We're hoping she'd get better sooner so you can go back to your regular walkies.

  27. Oh no, your poor mom! My mom is always doing stuff like this. Actually, I am pretty clumsy, too, but don't tell anyone!

    Your pal, Pip

  28. Ohhhh Myyyyyyyy!!! Your Poor Mom!!! OMC I am soooo sorry! I didn't know this when I mentioned earlier that I hope you had a good Easter! OMG!! That could have been really awful! Is your Mom's head ok after the pan fell? Did she get it checked?
I do have to say the nickname of "Grace" is pretty funny……MOL……I hope your Mom feels better soon!!! Much Love! xoxoxo Cody (and Mom too!)

  29. AWWW Man!!! You really hurt yourself!! We hope you feel better. WHenever she falls, she blames me…as if I tripped her or something!

  30. Oh dear! Oskar you will have to be a good therapy dog and fetch things for her! I'm glad your mom person is going to be ok cos I know how how much you love her!

  31. Oh dear! Oskar you will have to be a good therapy dog and fetch things for her! I'm glad your mom person is going to be ok cos I know how how much you love her!

  32. Bummer, that sucks. I think my blog would be way funnier if I could just get the comical stuff that happens when the camera isn't around. Not that I am saying your fall was comical…well, maybe it would have been a little if you could have filmed it 🙂 It's like "Really?". I thought this kind of thing only happened on TV.

    Get better soon!

  33. I'm sorry to hear about your Mom's accident, but I'm glad she's ok and that it's nothing too serious! Sending healing purrs her way..take good care of her, Oskar!

  34. I am so sorry to hear your mom got hurt! I think she's a true blogger, though, to lament not having the camera handy.

    Bunny

  35. Oh, no, Oskar! Your poor mom! I feel very sorry for her but I am Most Relieved that she's okay – all things considered. I hope that her sprain heals way quicker than 3 months. It's awfully good she has you around to take care of her.

My mom says she's a klutz. I'm pretty sure that means she's accident prone, too.

    Wiggles & Wags,
    Mayzie

  36. Oh Oskar – your poor mom. She seems to have one thing after another happen to her. I hope she gets well real soon. Healing purrs to her. purr purr purr purr purr

  37. OH DEAR!!! That must have hurt so bad. I'm so sorry about that. My hoomie fell down once & broke her wrist in 2 places. She slipped on a wet tiled floor & landed incorrectly. She had to wear a cast for 4 weeks I believe. She hated it. Her arm is all healed now but it looks weird. It's slightly crooked. Oh well! Atleast it still can be used.

I hope your mom heals soon.

  38. Oh my God, Oskar – I'm so sorry we didn't see this earlier! Your poor Mom Person!! I hope she is OK – I'm glad they have "fixed" her leg although 3 months sounds like a pain! Am sending lots of healing slobbers for her to recover quickly.

Hsin-Yi isn't very accident prone in general but she does get an AWFUL lot of bruises! Paul always says that if people ever saw her undressed, they would think that he was beating her up at home! Ha! HA!

    Slobbers,
    Honey the Great Dane

  39. We are so sorry to hear about you mommy! But tell your mommy to cheer up and look on the bright side of it, mommy gets to rest and receive your fully attention 🙂

Send your mommy all my cuddles and licks of love! Sending healing vibes to her now!

    Love ya,
    Jon Terry

  40. Oskar – Oh my! So sorry to hear about your Mom's accident! Hope she heals up real fast so you can go on walkies soon. Give her lots of attention – that will make her feel better faster 🙂

    The Road Dogs

  41. Oh NO! Oscar, that is so scary! I'm so happy to hear that your mom is okay. I hope that she heals quickly, not only so that she feels better but so that you can get your walks! 😉

  42. Oh my goodness Mr. Oskar, your poor mom! My mom says that when she doesn't get enough sleepings she starts to run into things and drop things, like yesterday when she had to get up really super early.

Please give her our snuggliest reegards and tell her we hope she is feeling better!

    Luvs,

    Jackie
