My Kiki

A kiki is a security blanket. Don’t blame me for the dumb name. My oldest boy John, came up with it when he was a baby.

Anyway, when my mom person brought me home from my birth mom they sent a little kiki for me. I quickly grew out of it & my Monnie (that means grandma, again John & silly names, my grandpa is called Bucka). My Monnie makes wonderful quilts & she made me a new quilt. I love it so much I ate many, many bites out of it. My people were unhappy that I did this. They took me to the Vet & they did bad things to get all of the stuffing out of me. I did not enjoy it.

My mom person found the kiki my Monnie made me today. I was SO happy.

If you look you may see some holes I ate out of my kiki. My mom person says theres even more holes you can’t see in the picture. Whatever.

My mom let me snuggle up with my kiki. I promised to be on my best behavior. I’m almost 4. I have self control.

  1. I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

  2. Sometimes dogs just have to nibble, so don’t worry about what they say Oskar, your KiKi still has years of use left in it!

  3. What a gorgeous kiki you have! Every blankie in our house has Schatzi's trademark bite holes in them! (she is our resident "chewer').

  4. Oh my..that is RUFF Oskar! having to go to the VET. I feel for you.

Well..I just have never taken a bite out of my blankie..boy am I glad I didn’t…VET…eeeks.

I love my blankie and though it is getting tattered…it’s really “just right” now. Soo

Now that you are older…maybe your Monnie will make you a new one!

  5. Dear Oskar,

My Charlie is sitting right here on my lap and read your post along with me. He doesn’t know what all the fuss is about either. Kikis are meant to be gnawed on.

  6. Wow! I can’t believe all the bit holes! Our 12 year old mini schnauzer (Zack) was known to get into trouble when he was younger. I had a fireside chair he chewed a hole in the arm one day!

But, you can only love them any way!

  7. Oh Oskar, I love you, you’re adorable. Tell your human mommy, I loved the photos and I loved the post. Glad you are okay after your visit to the vet.

  8. What a doll you are Oskar ……. I have a doggy doorstop which I cart around the house and then bark at… I will send you some pics sometime. Cool kikki – I am sure that you have a perfectly good reason for chewing it…..

  9. A very sweet friend of mine is called Kiki. I love her to bits, but never took a bite out of her I’m glad to say. If I had done that worse things would have happened to me than just emptying my intestines I should think. So Oskar, love your Kiki, but don’t eat her 😉 Kiki will appreciate that too.

  10. hi oskar! thanks for stopping by! nice KIKI!!!! we live in nova scotia, Canada! sorta close to you–lol.

  11. Oska! I’m sensing you’re a bit of a bad boy like me? Teehee!! Now your blankie looks cute with the dogs and bones and your new bloggie looks pawsome. Mom hopped over to the etsy site cos she goin’ to be on etsy soon too. She says your Moms site is LOVELY and she’ll be back!

    Wiry wags, Eric xx

  12. Kiki sounds nowhere near dorkish as what my mom called my blanket….bonkie! ridiculous, huh? and even though i’m a human person, i’ll be honest and let you know that i chewed a few holes in mine too! thankfully mine had no stuffing so no Dr. visit for me.
