Me & My Octopus!

My friend Mango (and probably Dexter too) send me this cool Orange Octopus a while back.  Even though he was wounded in a tragic lawnmower accident and is now rendered mute, I still love him.  The pictures speak for themsleves.

I love you, orange Octopus, even if you don’t squeak anymore!

  1. We don't have an orange octopus but we do have a few cuzes around here. They are great fun for squeaking and they have a funny bounce to them. Funny how those lawnmowers seem to find those toys all the time. Ours has exploded lots of tennis balls.

  3. Oskar it is so nice of you not to ignore your Squeaker Impaired furend. I am sure that he appreciates all of your attention.
Tragic that he was mauled by the mower monster. Perhaps he was hearing impaired Prior to his meeting with the monster and couldn't tell that he needed to roll safely away. Poor fellow.

  4. You love your orange octopus (we'll have to take some pictures of Jake's green octopus). We love your amazing play bow pose with it. You look sooooo happy! Just as you should!

    Happy tail wags

  5. It looks kind of like marriage! Til death do you part. Your devotion to orange octopus is quite heartwarming!

  6. Oskar, we can tell that you love your orange octopus very much! We are sorry it was hurt in the lawnmower but at least you still have him with you!! We've lost several special toys by lawnmowers too….they just seem to eat the toys up too quick! Lots of love, Holly and mom

  7. Oh, is that one that you can put kibble in the hole? I just luv that…dropping the toy over and over and getting kibble to fall out!

  8. hey Oskar,

That sure is a nifty toy! So sorry to read he had a lawnmower accident. I heard humans run the lawnmowers. Did a human you know have it out for your toy? Something to think about…

  9. Oskar dear,
Oooh…poor octopussy…. Hey…mute is better. It doesn't talk back or squeal when you do anything to it. har har har *evil laughs*

  10. If all he lost in his mower accident was his squeaker, he's one tuff little toy 😀

You look like your having loads of fun playing with him 🙂

  11. BOL! I have one of those but none of us play with it. It's too hard & not fun at all. Me in particular is not very fond of tuff rubbery toys. But I can see how much you really like yours.

  12. Tat sure is one tough octopus 😀 tragic i must say.. tragic for the octopus.. but hey… its still good to play 🙂

  13. It's wonderful when friendship transcends injuries. Your Octopus was injured, yet you are still best friends… Beautiful

    Have a great weekend.

    pawhugs, Max

  14. Oskar:
Your orange octopus looks like a fantastic toy!

So what if he doesn't squeak anymore…any toy that makes that kinda noise in my house is usually de-barked (by me) immediately anyway. This way there is nothing to distract you during playtime.

I hope you and orange octopus have many playdates to come…

  15. Favorite toys are favorite toys – no matter what condition they are in. I have an old stuffie – a blue moose, it is now patched up with one of dads socks, has missing bits and pieces – but is still my favorite stuffie.

  16. Sometimes those toys are the best Oskar dude! I am very fond of my one eyed lion and tail-less loofa dog!

    Woof!

  17. Octopuses, um octopie, um those 8-legged sea creatures need love too! Nice to see you showing it some, Oskar 🙂
