These are super yummy, but my mom person says cause they have lots of fat stuff in them they are to be eaten over a long period of time. She freezes them individually and pulls them out for special occasions.
Peanut Butter & Oats Glazed Goodies
1 cup water
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup peanut butter
3 cups whole wheat flour
Boil water in a saucepan. Add oats and butter. Let oats soak for ten minutes.
Stir in the cornmeal, sugar, salt, milk, peanut butter, and egg. Mix thoroughly.
Add the flour, one cup at a time (you may not need the entire amount) until a stiff dough forms.
Knead dough on floured surface until smooth, about 3 minutes. Roll to 1/2″ thickness. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
Glaze:
1 large egg
2 tbsp. milk
Mix well. Brush glaze on dough with a pastry brush.
Bake in a pre-heated 325 degree oven for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely

Your mom person is the best! I've never cooked anything for my dogs. Now they really want to do that exchange thing. Such a shame the stamps won't stick to their butts.
you look wonderful in that chef's hat!!
I hope you are not allergic to peanut,Oskar. π

Yummy Oskar. You look so handsome in your chefs hat. I must tell you that I partied with Twix and Sedona for a girls night out this weekend. I did have a bit much to drink and went a little nuts, but I thought of you and didn't even look at any other boys.
licks and sniffs, Sasha
Wow … these sound YUMMY but unfortunately Molly's got a delicate stomach and can only eat food and treats made from duck and sweet potato. Love the chef hat ;–)
Did you see the wild bears at Small Reflections this weekend?
Hugs and blessings,

I think I'm going to have to try those cookies.
Your Mom has a great idea about freezing them – not readily snackable – good for a diet. π
