PAWS Is The #NipClub Charity Today!

If you’re on Twitter you may be familiar with #NipClub.  Today our friends at the PAWS Animal Shelter in Connecticut is the recipient of the #NipClub fund raiser.  PAWS is the shelter where our friend Kevin, MeowMeowMans, from Animal Shelter Volunteer Life works with his wife Tracey.

If you’re on Twitter please check out the hashtag #NipClub to see how you can contribute.

When Kevin & Tracey lost their beloved cat Sammy last month we made a donation in Sammy’s name to PAWS and that donation was used to sponsor this handsome boy, Patch.

Patch (3)

My mom person was lucky enough to meet Kevin & Tracey at BlogPaws this year & they were every bit as wonderful in person as they have always been as our online friends.

Thank you NipClub for featuring our favorite shelter!

Oh The Humanity!!!

Do you see this innocent looking shed?  It’s in my back yard & has my cool schnauzer sign on it & our proudly waving American flag…

2013-06-05 17.02.22There is a horrible monster that lies within it.

2013-06-05 17.01.56Wait until you see what this monster did.  I can’t even look, I’m staying back here.

2013-05-31 12.36.53I have to close my eyes.

Thank You

memorial_day_cap_1600x1200On Memorial Day there are so many millions of men & women to thank.  The ones who served & the ones who stayed behind to keep the home fires burning.

The best we can do is offer up a humble & heartfelt thank you.  From the bottom  of our hearts, thank you.

Mother Nature Is Not Very Nice, But The UPS Man Is

Yesterday here in Waterford it was 81 degrees.  Today it is 43, yes you read that right 43 degrees!  Almost a 40 degree difference in 24 hours.

This is my patented “not amused” face.

DSC_0053I do admit that for most of the day, I let my bad mood take hold & then this happened!

DSC_0012Oh my dog it’s here!  The fabled BlogPaws swag box.

DSC_0014I gotta go, my mom person says we can open the box now!  Stay tuned.

Oh The People We Meet!

While I wait for my box of BlogPaws swag to arrive I wanted to tell you about some of the people my mom person met while she was there.

She met some of our very best blogging buddies!

2013-05-17 12.06.52In the middle is Kevin, MeowMeowMans, from Animal Shelter Volunteer Life, his wife Tracey & Terry of Brian’s Home, Flat Brian & Flat Oskar.

I’ll have more to tell you in the coming days!

She’s Back From BlogPaws But…

There’s a lot of good news about my mom person’s trip to BlogPaws & she made it home safe & sound.

BlogPaws is known for great swag.  Tons of stuff that she brings home for me to try out.  New treats to try, new products to review.  Just check out this picture of Flat Oskar with the contents of the BlogPaws swag bag.

So when she got home Sunday, I couldn’t wait for her to empty her suitcase so I could see all the goodies she brought for me.  Here’s a photo…

DSC_0018Can you see the look on my face?  That’s all that she brought home with her.  And they’re cat treats!

The good news is that she said she got so many pawsome things for me to try out, she had to have them shipped home.  They should be here on Thursday or Friday.

She did have the good grace to feel bad that she forgot to pack any treats in her suitcase for me.  I think this will come in handy when the box does come.  I think the guilt factor will encourage her to be very generous.

Tomorrow she’ll have a post about some of the great people she met.  For now I’m just biding my time and working on my sad face so that she feels the appropriate amount of guilt, guaranteeing me a great payoff when the box of goodies does finally come.

And Away She Goes!

I'm going to BlogPaws AGAIN badge

So my mom person is putting the finishing touches on her packing.  I’m still trying to figure out how to sneak into her suitcase.

She’s going to try sending lots of Instagram photo’s out, you can follow her on Instagram at Phoerauf.

She’ll also be tweeting, hopefully, and you can follow her there on @PetBlogsUnited.

One thing she’s most excited about is meeting Kevin (MeowMeowMans) & his wife Tracy from Animal Shelter Volunteer Life.  They’ve been blogging buddies forever and meeting people that she blogs with is her favorite part of BlogPaws.

She’s not going to take her laptop, so there probably won’t be any BlogPaws related posts while she’s gone unless she can find a way to post from her Kindle Fire.

I’ll be back to blogging soon!
