The Thundershirt Rocks!

Hello, Oskar’s mom person Pam here.  Oskar has always been terrified of thunder and fireworks.  After reading about the Thundershirt, and talking to a couple of vets about it we decided to order one for Oskar.

It came after we got home from our camping trip and today I had a chance to try it out.  Here’s Oskar during a loud evening of fireworks.

I cannot stress to you what an amazing thing this was for me to see.  Any thunder or firworks has always sent Oskar into a shaking fit, hiding in the bathtub or behind my chair for the duration.  In less than a minute of putting the Thundershirt on Oskar he climbed onto the couch and assumed this position.

I was thrilled to have him be able to relax instead of being scared to death.  The Thundershirt is supposed to work for everything from loud noises to seperation anxiety, & I’m here to tell you that it worked for this schnauzer almost immediately.

It’s made of soft, fuzzy cotton with velcro all around so that you can put it snugly around the body.  We bought the Thundershirt ourselves and are receiving no compensation at all for this post, I just wanted to put it out there for any other dogs who may have these same type of issues.  It gets 4 paws up from this family!

Travelling In Style

We had a great time on our camping vacation!  I thought I’d start out by showing you how I travel in the motor home.  I’m the navigator!

I get to sit in the front seat right next to my dad person.

When my mom person wants to share the seat with me, I give her the stink-eye.  There’s really only room for one up there, as you can see.

She now sits in a captains chair behind me because she gave up on fighting me for the seat.  Here’s her view of how it looks while we’re travelling.

Don’t feel too bad for her, she says the seat she sits in is actually more comfy for her anyways.

Stay tuned for more camping pics!

Hanging Out With Jack

I often utilize my new spot to help my boy Jack play video games.  Here I am concentrating very hard on what our next strategy should be.

I love my new spot because I can see out the window & be close to Jack at the same time.  Hey is that a bug on the floor?

Well I was trying to concentrate, until someone just couldn’t resist taking one more picture of me.

I guess I can’t blame her though, I am very photogenic!

I hope you all have a fabulous Sunday, filled with friends, family & fun!

Chloe’s Computer

My mom person got a new laptop, but someone else thinks it belongs to them.

This has completely gone to her head.  Now she’s all “I’m a blogger, too!”  Uh no, your just a weird cat!

It wasn’t even turned on, so she wasn’t laying on it because it was warm.

“I AM a blogger.  I want a blog!”

I almost feel bad for the chubby, fuzzy beastie.  Almost.

“You cannot resist my coy glance.  Blog me woman!”

Life Is Good!

Guess what?

She’s back here with me, right where she belongs!

We’re getting ready for a camping adventure next week, so we may be gone a little more, but we’ll have lots of great photos and adventures to share when we return!

And again a huge thank you and hugs to all of you who send love, prayers, good vibes and get well wishes for my mom person.  They really lift her mood when she is trapped in that nasty hospital.  We’ve discussed it and I’ve told her that she won’t be going back there any time soon!
