Project Sleeping Beauty

Over at Sally’s Blog there is a contest going on called “Project Sleeping Beauty.”  As soon as I saw it I knew this one was a contest that I could excel in.

Schnauzers are nothing if not excellent sleepers, see for yourself!

*Warning – Don’t try this without proper stretching and circling and pawing at the couch for several minutes before hand.

Notice that even with the flashy box directly in my face my amazing sleeping abilities do not cease.

And since this contest is called “Project Sleeping Beauty”, I will point out how excessively handsome I remain while in the midst of my deep slumber.  I don’t look like a ragamuffin like my mom person says at all, right?

Mr. Bumble’s Big Day ~ Camera Critters!

Camera Critters

Today it’s only about about 55 degrees here in Michigan.  My mom person found this bumble bee on the screen window & said, “Oskar we’ll put this bumble on your blog for Camera Critters today.”

Mr. Bumble

Now even though this blog is called The Daily Oskar, I thought it was cool to let Mr. Bumble share my spotlight.

We’re not talented nature photographers like so many of the Camera Critters people are, but we hope you enjoy our little bumble.  (He even looks like he’s wearing a fall sweater!)

Check out what all the other Camera Critters are up to.

*If you’re a pet blogger, check out our other blog, Pet Blogs United.

My Nest Is My Own Again!

In my last post I showed you how my special schnauzer pillow had been commandeered by my dad person.

Well he had to work like 26 hours today, so while my mom person was busy working I had all of my pillows all to myself.

I’d better double check that this is all of them.

I am king of all pillows, I am Oskar, miniature schnauzer in charge.  Most supreme of all nest makers!

Naptime!

MY Pillow & My Blog

How do you like my new look friends? My mom person is unsure if she really likes it, but she didn’t keep the code for the old background, so new one it is. I think I may have to try a few new looks before I find the one that suits me best.

As soon as she has extra green papers, we are going to have Designer Blogs re-do my blog. Designer Blogs made us the Pet Blogs United and they were a dream to work with.  And really how cool does the PBU site look?  If for some reason you haven’t seen it click on the PBU button in my sidebar.

If you need a new look for your blog, we totally recommend Designer Blogs.  (Designer Blogs in now way compensated us for this opinion, we were just really happy customers!)

Now, onto my problem.  Do you see what I see?

No, not the wet spot on the couch that is not any creepy licking that I have been accused of in the past.  My “Around here the miniature schnauzer is in charge” pillow is being used by someone who is most definitely not the miniature schnauzer.

Hmph, I guess I’ll let him use it for now.

Securing The Perimeter

Now all of us dogs know that site protection is one of our most important duties.  Once we almost had a Taco Bell bag breach the perimeter!  Guess who saved the day then, huh?

This is what my mom person sees most of the day.

Sometimes it’s important to change positions.  Security detail is not for the weak.

I hope the cats are doing their part & patrolling the interior.

*SIGH*  A schnauzer’s work is never done!

Pictures With My Mom Person!

My mom person wanted a new picture of her & me for our new blog, Pet Blogs United.

Trying to talk me into looking at the camera.
Serious mom person face
Woman, there is something OUTSIDE!
Nutso Face!
Must get outside!
Notice her crazy socks & shoes, cuckoo!
I may or may not be struggling to get away…
How do you not see my unhappy face!
I am officially done.

If I could reach it, I would totally hide that stupid flashy box!
