Please Pause For Prayers

I’m sorry we haven’t been around lately, we got some bad news. My mom person’s mom, who we call Monnie, has a sickness called breast cancer.

She will be having an operation called a mastectomy on 12/15. The good news is that after her operation, she should not have to have any chemo or radiation.

My people are all upset and scared, especially my mom person. We know how strong our blogging community is and would like to ask all of our friends around the world to pray and send good wishes for Monnie.

Hopefully we’ll be back to more regular blogging soon.

I Got Pressies!

My mom person has been feeling sicky lately, but she felt well enough to take pictures of the present that I got from my best friends JD & Max from all the way in England!

Hmm, smells like the United Kingdom & treats!!

My mom person says it’s an advent calender. One treat for each day from December 1st until Christmas!

But it’s not December yet!

This smells SOO good, please can I have one now?

Oh thank you! These treats taste even better cause they’re from my friends!

Thank you so much to JD & Max & their mom person Clare!

Bootie-Licious Contest

My best schnauzer friends JD & Max are having a Bootie-licious contest for everyone to show off their tail feathers.

You can see that JD & Max have lovely tails.

The problem being, here in the United States it’s common practice to dock a schnauzer’s tail when he or she is just 1 day old, leaving us with nothing but a nubbin’.

Still I want to support my friends so here is my entry for the Bootie-licious contest.

Here’s me as a baby schnauzer before I grew into my nubbin.

And here’s how it looks today.

So here it is guys. My nubbin’ for all to see!

Oskar Cooks ~ Vegetarian Mini Muffins

Vegetarian Mini Muffins
This is an awesome natural dog treat recipe!
1 apple, cored and shredded
2 cups (480 ml) carrots, shredded
⅓ cup (100 ml) molasses
¼ (60 ml) water
1 cup (250 ml) flax seed
¼ cup (60 ml) dry oats
¾ cup (200 ml) whole wheat flour

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.

If the shredded carrots and apple are too wet, add some extra oats or flour to the mixture until it is a thick batter.

Lightly grease mini muffin tins and spoon the mixture into the compartments until they are about ¾ of the way full and bake for 15 minutes at 400°F (200°C) or until browned.

These freeze very well for a yummy treat any time! These also make great Christmas presents for the other dogs in your life.

There’s Only So Much A Schnauzer Can Take

O.K. we’ve already established that Buster is back & making himself at home on my nest. But today, he crossed the line.

Here’s a shot of his perfectly good food and water dishes. Notice how he has lots of food that I’m not allowed to eat.

Well, he decided to take a sip of my water. I was good with that. Notice the food bowl next to it.

Then this happened!

Look! Look what he did!

Sometimes it’s all too much for a little dog to take. *sigh*

At least my mom person fixed the nest situation by offering Buster a feather pillow.

My mom person says that he is old & we have to leave him alone and be extra nice to him. He won’t even play with me in the yard. It’s gonna be a long week.

Check out more Pet Pride.

*Sigh* He’s Back, Again

You can read here & here about previous invasions from my grandpawrents dog Buster.

He is nice to visit, but I don’t want to live with him.

I was sitting at the computer helping my dad with the bills, just giving out financial advice.

When my Oskar-sense told me that something was terribly wrong.

Upon further inspection, I discovered the problem!

I guess I can live with it, but I don’t have to like it.

Buster’s Got Heart

Before Buster came to invade my territory visit, my grandpawrents took him to be groomed.

My mom person noticed something that she’s never seen before. Buster has a heart marking!

Do you see it?

In all 12 of his years we’ve never noticed it. Maybe he’s not so bad after all. As long as he stays out of my nest & my food!
